How does an ACVI Vocal Bootcamp work?

Our Vocal Bootcamps are designed to give targeted instruction and information regarding topics surrounding contemporary singing techniques. We work with the best vocal teachers, performers and industry professionals in Atlantic Canada to deliver exceptional training opportunities for our singers. We call them ‘bootcamps’ because it’ll feel like a workout - for your instrument! These sessions aim to strengthen the voice, release tension, improve confidence and build professional-level singing skills.

Who can attend an ACVI Vocal Bootcamp?

Our Bootcamps are created to benefit both beginner as well as advanced singers. Any singer age 16+ is welcome to attend. Each Bootcamp offers singers an opportunity for one-on-one instruction in a masterclass style format, however, we never put a singer on the spot - so if you’re new to singing or performing, there’s still lots to learn by following group exercises and observing others’ performances.

Here are just some of the skills and opportunities you can expect to achieve and experience at an ACVI Vocal Bootcamp:

Body Awareness - connect your mind and body to achieve vocal freedom and command over your instrument

Vocal Endurance - we challenge our singers to use their full body in fun, low-pressure physical exercises to increase vocal stamina and strength

Performance Confidence -face your inner critic and blossom into a confident, experienced performer in a safe, encouraging atmosphere

One-on-one Feedback - have the opportunity to sing in front of our teachers and get performance and technical feedback in real time

Networking - connect with other singers and open up doors for collaboration, new friendships and professional opportunities
