Rachael is a Halifax-based musician and educator who practices as a voice coach, background vocalist, and vocal health educator, specializing in Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) techniques.

Rachael holds a BA in Music (voice) from Dalhousie’s Fountain School of Performing Arts. Rachael has also earned certificates from Berklee College of Music and is certified in Vocal Health First Aid (VHE/UK).

Rachael is passionate about learning and staying up to date with the newest voice science and voice related studies. Having completed post-grad courses at the Voice Study Centre (UK) in teaching Belt Vocals, Vibrato & Non-vibrato Singing, and Gender and the Voice, Rachael is actively transforming her practice to meet the needs of the singers she works with. Rachael is also set to begin a Post Grad Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Wales in the Spring of 2024.

Apart from teaching, Rachael is an active performer. On a regular basis, she co-leads The Big Sing and is a background vocalist for Aquakultre. Notably, she has performed and toured to dozens of festivals, awards shows, and theatres nationally, and has appeared in choirs with several symphony orchestras, The Rolling Stones, Foreigner, Marianas Trench and Cirque du Soleil to name a few.

Rachael lives a life dedicated to music and the art of singing and is always looking forward to new opportunities to be in community with others, learning, and sharing voices.
